Food and Medical help to the lepers:

Leprosy carries a horrible stigma and rightfully so. Many people think leprosy was a disease that only occurred during Biblical times, but nothing could be farther from the truth. Leprosy is most prevalent today in India and South America. A bacillus, Mycobacterium, causes this chronic disease. If this disease is not promptly treated it leads to nerve damage, paralysis of muscles and loss and disfigurement of fingers and toes. Mission to the Nations is treating leprosy victims with MDT, which is comprised of three drugs: dapsone, rifampicin and clofazimine.

The living conditions of these unfortunate people are characterized by filth and extreme poverty, which obviously adds to the problem. No one is showing  compassion towards these patients. Due to this lifelong crippling disease,  patients are unable to work and must depend on others for a minimal survival in a country where the government offers little assistance. If not for MTN, these people would have no hope. Help us to be able to offer hope to people who live in a land where hope is only a dream.
