Why MTN

What Your Corporate Giving Team Gets

๐Ÿ›๏ธ

US 501(c)(3)

Donations are tax-deductible for US-headquartered companies. IRS Form 990 filed annually; documentation provided for your corporate giving and community impact records.

๐Ÿ“…

36 Years on the Ground

Field operations across Asia since 1990 through our sister organisation. A track record long enough to underwrite, short enough to still ship change.

๐ŸŽฏ

Cause-Specific Designation

Pick the impact area that matches your corporate giving strategy โ€” health, child welfare, women's livelihood, water, sanitation, or rural development.

๐Ÿ“Š

Reporting Your Board Will Accept

Quarterly narrative + financial reports, photo and video evidence, and outcome data your team can report to investors, employees, and regulators.

๐Ÿค

Programme Fit, Not Boilerplate

We shape engagements around your cause, your country focus, and your employee story โ€” not a generic sponsorship deck.

๐Ÿšซ

No Faith Gate

MTN's programmes serve communities regardless of religion, caste, or background. Engagement does not require an alignment with any belief system.

Ways to Engage

Four Modes of Corporate Giving

Pick one, combine several, or tell us what your team needs and we'll shape a fit.

Easiest to start

Workplace & Matching Gifts

Match what your employees give. Multiply impact with no operational lift.

  • โ†’Set up MTN as an eligible nonprofit on your matching-gift platform (Benevity, YourCause, Bright Funds โ€” or a manual match)
  • โ†’We handle receipts, acknowledgements, and matching-gift confirmation
  • โ†’Optional: lunch-and-learn or all-hands talk for your team
Most visible

Programme Sponsorship

Underwrite a programme. Your name on the work, our reporting on the outcomes.

  • โ†’Fund a defined programme โ€” a clinic year, a school year, a women's cohort, or a water-well district
  • โ†’Co-branded recognition where appropriate (we handle communications review with your team)
  • โ†’Quarterly impact reports + an annual programme summary suitable for corporate giving disclosures
For employee engagement

Cause Campaigns

Run a time-boxed giving drive โ€” "Company X funds 50 women in trade."

  • โ†’Designed jointly with your corporate giving or communications team โ€” defined target, defined window, defined outcome
  • โ†’Employee-facing collateral, dashboard updates, and a closing impact report
  • โ†’Often paired with a matching multiplier (1:1 or 2:1) to drive participation
For skilled teams

Skills-Based Volunteering

Pro bono support where it actually moves the needle.

  • โ†’Legal, technology, design, M&E, finance, or marketing engagements โ€” remote or on-site in Asia
  • โ†’Defined scope, defined deliverable, defined hand-off โ€” not open-ended advisory
  • โ†’On-site team trips arranged with 8 weeks' notice, including field visits and programme exposure

FAQ

Questions Corporate Giving Teams Ask

Are corporate donations tax-deductible?

+

For US-headquartered companies, yes โ€” MTN is a US 501(c)(3) and donations qualify for charitable deduction under standard IRS rules. We provide a written acknowledgement and IRS-compliant receipt. For non-US companies, we provide receipts and documentation suitable for your jurisdiction; please confirm specific deductibility with your tax counsel.

How do you recognise corporate partners publicly?

+

Recognition is shaped to fit your communications policy. Standard options include logo placement on our partners page, mention in our annual report, co-branded campaign collateral, and joint press where mutually appropriate. Some partners prefer silent operation โ€” we accommodate that fully. Communications review rights are written into the MOU.

What reporting will my team get?

+

Quarterly narrative reports (what was done, where, with whom), quarterly financial reports (funds received, deployed, balance), photo and video evidence packs, and an annual impact summary suitable for internal reporting and philanthropic disclosures. For larger engagements, we share dashboard updates monthly and can align with your company's own reporting framework or any standard philanthropic metrics you already use.

Can our employees visit a programme site?

+

Yes. Field visits to our hospital, schools, and community programmes can be arranged with 6โ€“8 weeks' notice. We coordinate logistics on the ground; your team handles travel. Visits are common for executive teams, board members, and select employee delegations.

Do you accept in-kind donations?

+

Yes โ€” particularly medical equipment, IT hardware, educational supplies, and vehicles, when shipping logistics make sense. We don't take in-kind donations that would create disposal or storage burdens. The fastest way to know is to email us with a short list of what you'd like to contribute.

Can we run an employee giving drive without a corporate match?

+

Absolutely. We're happy to set up a campaign page, provide collateral, and report results back to your employees, even without a corporate match. That said, matching dramatically lifts participation โ€” we'll flag this in our scoping call.

Double Your Impact

Employer Matching Gifts

Many US employers match charitable donations 1:1 or 2:1. If your company uses Benevity, YourCause, Bright Funds, or Double the Donation, search for Mission to the Nations to submit a match request.

BenevityYourCause / BlackbaudDouble the Donation

MTN is a registered US 501(c)(3) (EIN available on request). We handle all matching-gift confirmation documentation.

No platform listed? Many employers run manual match programmes โ€” contact your HR team with our EIN and a copy of your donation receipt.
