Theory of Change

From vulnerability to self-sufficiency

MTN operates an integrated 8-programme model designed so that each programme reinforces the others. Healthcare prevents child mortality and keeps children in school. Education creates pathways to livelihood. Livelihoods remove the economic desperation that drives trafficking and malnutrition. Clean water eliminates the disease burden that consumes healthcare resources. Together, these programmes build communities that no longer need external support to thrive.

1

Address basic survival needs — food, water, shelter

2

Remove barriers to education and health

3

Build livelihoods and economic independence

4

Community resilience sustained without ongoing external support
